Final print 5

Using heat transfer and pigments I created this second feather printed final. I kept this simple and used slightly different shades of black and gray to give tonal qualities and also to show the different colours that real feathers are.  I wanted to show that they are all different and I feel this print does.

This is my favourite print out of all 5 finals that I created, I feel it is very feminie and delicate with the use of pale colour pallet that I have mixed up. I also like how I have used different types of pigment to make part stand out giving depth to the print, the hand embroidary and machine stitching also exaggerates this feel. It also draws your eye in to the print as the thread was slightly bright shades compared to the other colours I have included.

This is my third print final and create by just getting on with it and doing it. I didn't plan the design or composition I his kept adding to it Untill I felt it was enough.

This was the second print that I created I had planned out the layout and repeat pattern and this print and design went exactly how I had planned. I added a range if different techniques to create the detail of the drawings I was trying to portray.

This was the first print final that I tackled and although I made a few simple mistakes I was able to correct them. 

Structure of a report

Structure; 

Cover sheet- name, repot title, module title, study programme, academic year, image 

Contents page- page numbers, subheadings, appendices, bibliography 

Introduction & procedure- what are you writing about, the steps taken and methods used, how did you do research , what worked well, do you understand your limitations, show a problem and how youv overcome it 

Main body of report- tell the reader what you found out, use subheadings (eg layouts, window display, clothing, print, embroidary, price range, audience, quality, trend influences), images, graphs, charts, tables 

Conclusion- rounding up what youv discovered - do not repeat what you have already put. 

Recomendations; your opinion

Appendices; analysis sheets from questionnaires, magazines, articles, interview, website 

Bibliography- reference secondary research

Here is a gorgeous tea cup and saucer, I felt the need to include this in my blog as I think the surface design on the porcelain was so delicate and detailed. I think these represent a feminie atmosphere and the colour is rich and powerful which gives a strong lively feel to the porcelain peice.

What is a report? 

- not an essay 

- process if information get geting is important 

- factual & evidence based 

- can be more structured, visually 

- include bullet points, charts, graphs, images 

Where to start;

 

- identify the precise purpose of your report 

- there is no point in writing a report if it doesn't answer your assignment brief 

- referenced images, analysis of primary research and a bibliography must also be included
